Dear friends

Thank you for your prayers, I felted. I was very much at peace during the surgery and after.

I am in a recovery moment. I had a disc and a vertebra who was on my spinal cord behind my neck and could cut the spinal cord at any moment.

30 years ago I had a car accident, and at that time I was fine , but with the age that disc was slowly sliding.

That surgery started only 15 years ago.

I had a great surgeon, as I ask him he explain to me what he did , and he do the same with all his patients. They do amazing things in surgery.

Now I am fine, no more terrible pain and in a good health.

Thank you again for your emails. May the LORD bless you and protect you in HIS presence.

Je vous remercie pour toutes vos prieres, je les ai sentie. J'avais la paix en moi, pendant et apres l'intervention chirurgicale.

Je suis en train de me retablir. J'ai eu un disc et une vertebre qui etait sur ma cord epinal derriere mon cou et pouvait la couper a n'importe quel moment.

Il y a 30 ans j'ai eu un accident de voiture sans concecances; mais avec l'age le disc avec la vertebre on doucement glisses.

Cette operation chirurgicale n'existait pas et a commence il y a 15 ans.

J'ai eu un tres bon chirurgien comme je lui demandait. il m'a explique toute son intervention, et il le fait avec tous ses patients. Ils font des choses extraordinnaires en chirurgie.

Maintenant je vais bien je n'ai plus cette terrible douleur, je suis en bonne sante.

Merci encore pour vos emails. Que le SEIGNEUR vous protege et vous benisse dans SA Presence.

Since January of this year I had terrible pain in my lower neck. Finally after an MRI,they discovered a herniated disc putting pressure on my spinal cord, and soon I have to have a surgery.

I share that with you, I know many suffer in different ways. The LORD is with us and go through that suffering with us. HE said HE never leave us.

Depuis le mois de Janvier de cette annee, j'ai eu tres mal dans le bas de mon cou. Finallement apres un MRI, ils ont decouver in hernie disqualle qui fait pression sur ma moelle epiniere. Bientot je dois avoir une operation chirurgicale.

Je vous confis cela, je sais qu'il y a beaucoup de personnes qui souffre de differentes facon.

Le SEIGNEUR est avec nous, et est avec nous au travers de toutes nos souffrances. IL a dit IL nous laissera jamais.

Maintenant je lui repondrai, J'ai trouve cette plus grande intelligence, dans le SEIGNEUR JESUS CHRIST.

Good morning

This weekend, I went to a women's retreat. I loved it.

The ground was covered with snow, it give a sens of peace and calm in the middle of the country in Valley Forge Pennsylvania, a beautiful historical site.

Few miles down was the park where General George Washington forged his Continental Army into a fighting force in the winter of 1777-1778.

It was "Our Weekend Together with Alice Matwews" who give us a conference on certain passages of the Bible.
I liked very much.

On the wall of my room was a little picture with that verse,

" I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
3 John 1:4

Walking in GOD's truth is a blessing and a comfort every day.

Ce week-end je suis alle a une coference pour femmes chretiennes. J'ai beaucoup aime.

La terre etait recouverte de neige,ce qui donnait un sens de paix et de calme au milieu de la campagne a Valley Forge, en Pennsylvanie.

C'est un cite historique. Queques kilometres plus loin ce trouve le park ou Le General George Washington avec son armee ce sont battu pendant l'hiver de l'annee 1777-1778.

This morning when I open the door, it was enchanting with the snow everywhere. The branches of the trees were covered with snow they look like a beautiful lace.

I stay and watch, only one bird was singing, only one squirrel was climbing the tree and stay on the corner. Because of them that picture had life.

I will put my boots and give them something to eat, they must be very hungry.

This scenery was perfect, everything was white and pure, it make me think about a verse .

" Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD.

Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."

Ce matin lorsque j'ai ouvert la porte c'etait plein de neige comme un paysage enchante. C'etait une nouvelle neige qui etait tombe pendant la nuit. Les branches etaient couvertes de neige comme une tres belle dentelle.

Je suis reste regarder, seulement un oiseau chantait et un seul ecureuil a grimpe sur une branche et est reste dans un coin. A cause d'eux cette image avait de la vie.

Je vais mettre mes bottes et aller leur donner a manger, ils doivent avoir faim.

Ce paysage etait parfait to etait blanc et pure. Cela m'a fait penser a un verset

" Venez donc et plaidons dit l'ETERNEL.
Si vos peches sont comme le cramoisi, ils deviendrons blancs comme la neige.

I just turn in my 68Th year, life go faster and faster.

I still think I am young ( in my heart), I don't think I am getting older. I sow many things during my life and learn from it, and I am still learning. Because the LORD JESUS show me on the BIBLE, deep in me I feel eternal.

Je viens d'avoir 68 ans, le temps, la vie, passe de plus en plus vite.

Visit to Ephesus, Patmos, Rhodes, and Santorini

I learn to know better St Paul during that cruise.

From Cavalla and Philippi who is in Greece , we went to Ephesus in Turquie, two important figures in the Christian religion, that is St Paul and St John lived in Ephesus.

Then back to Greece to the island of Patmos were St John had his visions, and wrote the book of Revelation.

After Patmos we visit the island of Rhodes with the fortress of the period of Crusader domination.

Our last trip was to the island of Santorini who is so beautiful with all theses little houses on the top of a cliff.

So many things to see, to learn during that trip. It is true ,it is a trip of a life time.

My Parents were Greeks and came to Paris France when they both were teenagers. With them I learn a warm and loving family way from their Greek heritage .

After that cruise I learn more about Greece. They are courageous people with a great past, loving there country and there culture and open to see and communicate with the world.

I was born and raised in France in Paris and also in the suburb of Paris. I love France I spend all my young age in France until at 28 years old I went to live in US (marriage).
I love also the United States of America . I learn at a very young age to adapt and respect a country with there language and their culture.

I saw that St Paul was a very courageous and educated man. He knew after his conversion on the road of Damascus how to love people respect them and was very dedicated to the LORD JESUS CHRIST

Put the whole world on one side of the scale and you will see that the soul of PAUL outweighs it

Visite de Ephese, Patmos, Rhodes et Santorini.

Apres notre visite de Kavala et Philippes qui est en Grece , nous sommes alles en Turquie a Ephese. Deux personnes tres importantes dans la religion chretienne St Paul et St John on vecues aussi a Ephese.

De retour en Grece nous avons visite l'ile de Patmos ou St John a sa vision et ecrit l'Apocalypse.

Apres Patmos nous sommes alles visiter l'ile de Rhodes avec ses forteresses de l'epoque de la domination des croises.

Notre derniere visit etait l'ile de Santorini,avec ses jolies maison batties sur la falaise.

Tellement de choses a voir et a apprendre pendant ce voyage. C'est un voyage que l'on fait peut-etre une fois dans sa vie.

Mes parents ete Grecque et sont venus en France a Paris pendant leurs adolescence. Avec eux j'ai recu un amour et une chaleur familliale de leur heritage grecque.

Pendant cette croisiere j'ai appris beaucoup sur la Grece. C'est un peuple courageux,avec un grand passe. Ils aiment leur pays et leur culture. Ils sont ouvert pour communiquer avec le monde.

Je suis nee et j'ai grandis en France a Paris et dans la region parisienne.J'aime la France, j'y ai vecu une grande partis de ma jeunesse ,a 28 ans je suis partis vivre aux USA ( mariage).

J'aime aussi les Etats Unis d'Amerique. J'ai appris a un tres jeune age a m'habituer et respecter un pays avec leurs langues et leurs cultures.

J'ai vu que St Paul etait un homme courageux et instruit. Apres sa convertion sur la route de Damascus, il a su aimes et respecter les gens et etait tres dedie au SEIGNEUR JESUS CHRIST.

Mettez le monde entier d'un cote et vous verrez que l'ame de PAUL pese d'avantage

Good morning

Visit to Kavala (Neapolis), and to Philippi

Kavala was the birth place of my mother. It was an emotional moment for me. I went to Greece many time, but I never went to Kavala.

When my mother came to Paris to marry my father,in 1935, she was 17 years old and very beautiful, my brother was born in 1936, I was born in 1942, it was during world war two, a week after my birth my father told my mother, that her parents died. She never saw them again.
Often she talk to us about Kavala. My mother went with the LORD in Paris in 1985.

When we arrived to Kavala, I could hear my heartbeat, like I was going to see my mother again.I could not eat my breakfast. It was still night and I could see from far the light of the city.
It was the first time that I bought a video camera to film the trip, I always lefted to my children to do that, I only used a camera (photo) . I video tape our arrival in Kavala and talk, talk, talk all my emotions in that film.

When we finally arrive,it was daylight. Kavala is a beautiful city on a hill.

The tours buses were waiting for us. The guide was very nice, I told her, my mother was from that city, then she let me seat in front and video tape the trip.

" Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis, and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days

And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.

Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyartira, who worshiped GOD. The LORD opened her heart to heed the thing spoken by Paul.
And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, " If you have judged me to be faithful to the LORD, come to my house and stay". So she persuaded us. "
Acts 16: 11 to 15


Neapolis, the city which Paul visited immediately after Samothrace, is now known as Kavala.

Today, Kavala is a modern city with an important port, but the marks of its age-old character are still plain to see.

Philippi

What Paul would have seen when he visited Philippi in 49AD was a well developed city, predominantly Roman in character.

Paul stay in Philippi for a number of days.
Then Paul had to leave the city and make his way to the river bank, where they gathered to pray.
It was here that Lydia, a seller of textiles from Thyatira in Asia Minor, became the first woman to be baptized on European soil.

We saw the river were Lydia was baptize. Dr Stanley spoke near the river.
We saw were Paul was in prison for a short time, because of an earthquick he was free. We saw so many things

Paul always retained feelings of deep affection for the church at Philippi, as can be seen for the letter which he send there from Rome, during his imprisonment there, or from Ephesus.

It was an important day for me.

After with friend we had lunch in a nice restaurant in Kavala near the sea.
Greek salad with a very good feta cheese, Moussaka, and for desert the owner offer us a Greek coffee and a kadaiffi, it is like Baklava.

I was not very hungry for dinner.

Individually we had a picture with the Captain. That evening was the Captain's party. Amy Lambert sing , I like her still and she have a beautiful voice. Then Ed Diaz prepared us in a biblical way to visit Ephesus'
The group Greater Vision and John Starnes sing songs and told us some stories. It is so beautiful to hear them singing.

Visite de Kavala (Neapolis), et de Philippes

Kavala, la ville ou maman etait nee, c'etait tres emotionnel pour moi. Je suis alle plusieurs fois en Grece; mais je ne suis jamais alle a Kavala.

Lorsque maman est venu a Paris en 1935 pour se marier avec papa, elle avait 17 ans. Elle etait tres jolie. Mon frere etait nee en 1936, et je suis nee en 1942 pendant la guerre. Une semaine apres ma naissance mon pere a dit a maman que ses parents etaient mort, elle ne les a jamais revu. Souvent maman nous parlait de Kavala.
A Paris, elle est partis aupres du SEIGNEUR en 1985.

Quand nous arrivions a Kavala mon coeur battait fort. J'avais l'impression que j'allais revoir maman. Je ne pouvais pas prendre mon petit dejeuner.
Il faisait encore nuit et je pouvais voir de loin les lumieres de la ville.

C'etait la premiere fois que j'ai achete une camera video pour filmer le voyage. D'habitude je laissais mes enfants s'en occuper, je me contentait d'une camera seulement photo.
J'ai filme notre arrive a Kavalla, et j'ai parle, parle, parle toute mon emotion dans ce film.

Finallememnt lorsque nous sommes arrives il faisait jour. Kavalla est une jolie ville, sur une colline .

Les bus nous attendaient. La guide etait tres gentille, je lui est dis que maman etait nee dans cette ville et elle m'a laisse m'assoir devant et filmer tout le trajet.

Actes

" Embarques a Toas, nous avons fait voile directement vers Samothrace, et le lendemain vers Neapolis.
De la,( nous sommes alles) a Philippes, qui est la premiere ville de ce district de Macedoine et une colonie (romaine). Nous avons sejourne quelques jours dans cette ville.
Le jour du sabbat, nous nous sommes rendus hors de la porte, vers une riviere, ou nous pensions que se trouvait (un lieu) de priere. Apres nous etre assis nous avons parle aux femmes qui etaient reunies.
Il y avait la une femme craignant DIEU, du nom de Lydie, marchande de pourpre, de la ville de Thyatire,. Elle ecoutait, et le SEIGNEUR lui ouvrit le coeur, pour qu'elle s'attache a ce que disait Paul.
Lorsqu'elle eut ete baptisee avec sa famille, elle nous invita en disant: Si vous me jugez fidele au SEIGNEUR, entrez dans ma maison et demeurez-y. Et elle nous pressa tres instamment. "
Actes 16: 11 a 15

Neapolis, que Paul visita immediatement apres Samothrace, est connue aujourd'hui sous le nom de Kavala.

De nos jours, Kavala est une ville moderne et un port important, qui a cependant conserve en grande partie son ancienne physionomie.

Philippes

Lorsque Paul visita Philippes en 49 apr.J.C., il trouva une ville developpee, a caractere essentiellement romain.

Paul resta a Philippe plusieurs jours.
Paul sortie de la ville pour prier. C'est a cette endroit q'eu lieu le premier bapteme sur le sol europeen, celui de Lydie, marchande d'etoffes de Thyatire, en Asie Mineure .

Nous avons vu la riviere ou Lydie avait ete baptisee. Dr Stanley a parle a cote de la riviere.

Nous avons vu ou Paul avait ete emprisonne, pour quelques heures comme il est rapporte dans les "Actes des Apotres" A cause d'un tremblement de terre,il etait libre. Nous avons vu tellement de chose.

Paul nourrit de tous temps des sentiments profonds envers l'Eglise de Philippes, comme le prouve le contenu de l'epitre qu'il lui adressa lors de son incarnation a Rome ou a Ephese.

Pour moi, c'etait une journee tres importante.

Avec des amies nous avons eu un tres bon dejeuner au bord de la mer a Kavala
Salad Grecque avec Feta qui etait tres bonne, Moussaka,et un cafe avec un kadaiffi (comme le Baklava) offert par le patron du restaurant.

Pour diner je n'avais pas trop faim.
Individuellement nous avons eu une photo avec le capitaine du bateau, c'etait la soiree du Capitaine.
Amy Lambert nous a chante de tres belles chansons, elle a une tres belle voix. Puis Ed Diaz nous a prepare bibliquement pour la visit d'Epheses.
Le group Greater Vision et John Starnes nous ont chantes aussi de tres belles chansons et ont racontes des histoires. Cela faisait plaisir de les entendre.

Visit to Thessaloniki

This sunday morning we went for breakfast.

The worship service started with music and singing.

Then Dr Charles Stanley start to speak his sermon. So many years I heard Dr Stanley, TV, radio, tapes, books, CD's. He is so clear when he speaks, he speaks the truth of GOD, he help me with my walk and faith with the LORD, and I thank him.

We arrived at Thessaloniki at 11am

We had lunch on the ship and prepared ourselves for the excursion to Thessaloniki

It was wonderful to drive through the city with a tours guide who explain you everything. It is a beautiful city with many open cafes. Our tours guide said; to seat and have a cafe is expensive because Greeks like to seat about 2 hours drinking there coffee and socializing, they rent there place.

Today Thessaloniki, is the second largest population in Greece. It is an important commercial, industrial, communication and tourist centre, while it has a large number of academic institutions and university faculties. Its cultural life is particularly developed, thus continuing a tradition which goes back thousand of years.

In Thessaloniki Christianity makes its presence.
It was St Paul who cultivated the first seeds of the new religion in Thessaloniki. His preaching drew a response on his first visit in 49 AD.

" You became imitators of us and of the LORD; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. The LORD's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia -your faith in GOD has become known everywhere." I Thessalonians 1:6-7-8

We went to visit the monastery on the top of Thessaloniki. Paul travel to many places, and most of theses places have a church or a monastery or a monument who recognise the journey of St Paul.

The same day we went also to Berea now call Veria. I heard one person on the bus say "I will like to leave here. "
Veria is a small town, 70km from Thessaloniki.It is to the water falls on this river that the city owes the industrial development which it has to show today, when it also makes its living from commerce, farming and stock breeding.

An agreeable little town, people take there time and drink a little coffee or ice cream, but I went for the Loukoumathes,(like a little donut, munchies cover in a syrup made with honey) it is delicious.

Paul stayed for some time in Veria, " Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men."
Acts 17:11-12

We went back to the ship and prepare ourselves for early dinner. We all enjoy the day and appreciate being served with a delicious dinner.

Every evening we had Ed Diaz who prepared us in a biblical way for the next day on the journey of Apostle Paul. We were well informed and I thank the LORD for being surrounded by people well educated on the Bible.

Then was the evening with the entertainers singers. They have great voices and many stories to tell with a lot of humour

Thank you FATHER, for that marvelous trip. WE felt YOUR Presence with us all the time. Thank you FATHER with all my heart.

Visite de Thessalonique

Ce dimanche matin nous avons pris notre petit dejeuner.

L'Eglise a commence avec de la musique et des chants

Et Dr Stanley a presente son sermon. Il y a tellement d'annees que j'entand Dr Stanley, a la TV, radio, cassettes, livres, CD. Il est tellement claire lorsqu'il parle. Il dit la verite de DIEU. Il m'a aide dans mon cheminement et ma foi avec le SEIGNEUR. Je le remercie.

Nous sommes arrives a Thessalonique a 11 heures du matin.

Nous avons dejeuner et nous nous sommes prepares pour l'excursion a Thessalonique.

C'etait merveilleux d'etre dans le bus avec un guide qui nous explique et nous donne toutes les informations. C'est une jolie ville avec des cafes. Le guide nous a dit qu'un cafe etait un peu chere car les grecques aimait rester 2 heures pour se voir et discuter, cetait comme si il louait leurs places.

De nos jours Thessalonique est la deuxieme grande ville de Grece. Plaque tournante du nord du pays, c'est un important centre commercial, industriel et touristique, dote de plusieurs etablissements d'enseignement superieur et de grandes ecoles. Elle connait une vie culturelle particulierement developpee, perpetuant ainsi une tradition millenaire.

A Thessalonique c'est avec le christianisme qu'on entre en contact.

Les premiers germes de la religion chretienne a Thessalonique furent cultives par l'Apotre Paul. Sa predication a provoque un grand effet sur son auditoire des sa premiere visite, en 49 apr. J.-C.

" Vous etes devenus nos imitateurs et ceux du SEIGNEUR, en recevant la parole au milieu de beaucoup de tribulations avec la joie de l'Esprit Saint.
Ainsi vous etes devenus un modele pour tous les croyants en Macedoine et Achaie.
Car les paroles du SEIGNEUR a retenti de chez vous, nom seulement en Macedoine et en Achaie, mais votre foi en DIEU s'est fait connaitre en tout lieu.
1 Thessaloniciens 1:6-7-8

Nous sommes alles visiter le monastaire on the top of Thessalonique. Paul a voyage dans beaucoup de regions et presque toutes ces regions ont un monastaire, ou une eglise ou un monument qui sont une effigie a l'Apostole Paul.

Le meme jour nous sommes alle a Beree maintenant appelle Veria. J'ai entendu une presonne sur le bus dire " J'aimerai bien vivre ici.

Veria est a 70km de Thessalonique. C'est aux chutes de cettes riviere qu'est du l'essor industriel que connait de nos jours la ville de Veria dont les habitants vivent egalement du commerce, de l'agriculture et de l'elevage.

Un petit village tres agreable. Les gens prennent leurs temps, buvant un petit cafe, ou ils degustent une glace. Mais moi je suis allee avec des amis dans une patisserie grecque et nous avons degustes des Loukoumathes (patisserie grecque croustillon en francais dans un sirop de miel) c'est delicieux.

Paul dut rester assez longtemps a Beree." Ceux-ci avaient de meilleurs sentiments que ceux de Thessalonique; ils recurent la parole avec beaucoup d'empressement, et ils examinaient chaque jours les ecritures, pour voir si ce qu'on leur disait etait exact.
Beaucoup d'entre eux crurent, ainsi que des femmes grecques distinguees et des hommes en assez grand nombre.
Actes 17:11-12

Retoune au bateau nous nous sommes prepare pour le premier diner. Nous avons aimes notre journee et nous avons apprecier de nous faire servir avec un delicieux diner.

Tous les soirs nous avions Ed Diaz qui nous preparait d'une facon biblique pour le lendemain sur le voyage de l'Apostole Paul. Nous etions bien informes et je remercie le SEIGNEUR d'avoir ete entoure de personnes bien eduques sur la Bible.

Le soir nous avions des chanteurs avec de belles voix et des histoires pleines d'humours.

Merci PERE pour ce voyage merveilleux. Tout le temps nous avons sentie TA Presence avec nous. Merci PERE de tout mon coeur.

Visit of Athens

At 6 in the morning, we were awake our suitcases were ready to go with our name and number of the floor and cabin for the ship.

Down stair everybody eat their breakfast. People talk to each other, with our name tag it was easy to remember names and states.

Around 7:30 this morning all our suitcases were in the hall. After the breakfast all the luggages were gone in the buses, people were waiting in line in this big hotel to go in a separate bus.

We had another tours bus with a different tour guide, the first one was from Athens, this one was from Thessaloniki. She was also very knowledgeable.
We ask her if the tours guides will come with us on the cruse , she said yes, and she was so happy to see her mother in Thessaloniki, her hometown.

Athens history: 478 BC The League, of which a large number of Greek cities were members, had its initial purpose to counter the Persian threat by joint action.
Within it, Athens acquired a leading role and soon emerged as the first city of Greece.

At the same time. Pericles the creator of the golden age the most brilliant period of Athenian history, had become the city's political leader.
In this time democracy reached its most mature expression and in every field of intellectual activity and the arts it was an age of greatness and glory.

After many wars ,decline began.Athens in the time of the Apostle Paul was not of course, the flourishing city of the classical period, but it still retained some measure of the glory of the past and its numerous monuments, witness to its supremacy in the arts and sciences.
The Agora was the political, administrative, commercial and religious centre of the city.
The acts of the Apostles renders is certain that Paul visited the Agora.

The preaching of Paul does not seem to have met with the same response in Athens as it did in other large cities of Greece. The Athenians adopted an attitude of scepticism toward him, particularly when he spoke of the resurrection of the dead, where as Paul regarded it as a weakness of Greek thought that it was unable to comprehend the message of Resurrection contained in Christianity

Although the Athenians were unable to agree with Paul's views they do not seem to have persecuted or arrested him, as was the case in other places.

In the end, the ancient Greek religion was dealt a mortal blow when in the fifth century the emperor Theodosius II forbade heathen worship and when , in 529 AD, Justinian closed the city's schools of philosophy.

Later with the triumph of Christianity, many of the ancient temples of Athens were converted into Christian churches.

After seen the Acropolis the Parthenon the Agora so many interesting things to see, we went to a very nice restaurant in Athens.

Everything was well organize. We arrive at the port of Pireas and embarkated in the Ocean Majesty.

We were about 450 peoples. I admired the organization, it was very good , to me it was perfect.



When we went to our room our luggages were there, all of them. Then we went for the Lifeboat Drill

Dr Stanley received us with a speach

First seating dinner was at 5:30. I looked to find where was the restaurant like every body else.I had the guide

The restaurant was with tables of 4 or 6 or 8. Ours was a table of 8 with white tablclothe and white napkings.

We meet our new friends, somebody pray before we eat,and we started the intreductions. Conversation came easely. We had a menu with many choice. The chef prepared us an international menu'

After the dinner Dr Stanley had a Bible Study. It was so conforting to hear the word of GOD.
After that it was a show.
That night I slept so well

The next day it was Thessaloniki

A 6 heure du matin, nous etions reveillees nos valises etaient prete, avec notre nom numero et cabine pour le bateau.

Tout le monde prenait leur petit dejeuner. Les gens se parlait et avec notre nom et Etats sur une etiquette accroche sur nous , c'etait facile de ce rappeler les noms et l'etats de chacun de nous.

A 7:30 ce matin toutes nos valises etaient dans le grand hall de l'hotel. Apres le petit dejeuner les valises etaient ranges dans les bus ,et les gens attendaient en ligne pour aller a leur tour dans ces grand bus.

Nous avions un autre bus avec une nouvelle guide. La premiere etait d'Athens et la second est de Thessalonique. Elle etait aussi tres informe.

Nous lui avons demande si les guides venaient avec nous en croisiere, elle a repondu oui et etait impatiente de voir sa mere a Thessalonique.

Histoire d'Athenes:En 478 av. J.-C.cette alliance, a laquelle participaient de nombreuses cites grecques avait comme bur initial d'opposer un front commun au danger perse . Athenes acquit en sont sein une place dominante et devain la premiere cite de la Grece.
Parallelement, sur le plan politique, le pouvoir etait passe aux mains de Pericles, le demuirge de "L'age d'or" la periode de la plus brillante de l'histoire athenienne. C'est sous Pericles que la democratie atteignit son apogee et que tous les domaines de la pensee et de l'art connurent des moments de grandeur et de gloire.

Apres les guerres commencait le declain d'Athenes. Athenes, a l'epoque de Paul, n'etait evidemment pas la ville florissante de la periode classique, mais elle conservait la gloire de son passe et de tres nombreux monuments, temoins de sa superiorite dans le domaine de la penseeet de l'art.

L'Agora constituait le centre politique, administratif, commercial et religieux de la ville. Les "Actes des Apotres" rapportent avec certitude que Paul visita l'Agora.

La predication de Paul a Athenes ne dut pas connaitre le meme succes que dans d'autres villes de Grece. Les Atheniens l'ecouterent avec scecepticisme, particulierement lorsqu'il leur parla de la resurection des morts.
Paul considerait comme une faiblesse de la pensee Grecque le fait qu'elle ne pouvait pas saisir ce message particulier du christianisme.

Cependant, bien que les Atheniens ne fussent pas d'accord avec ses idees, il ne semble pas qu'ils le pourchassere ou l'arreterent, comme cela avait ete le cas dans d'autres regions.

La religion grecque antique subit un coup fatal au Ves., lorsque Theodose II interdit aux paiens de pratiquer leurs cultes, puis un deuxieme, lorsque Justinien ferma les ecoles de philosophie en 529 apr. J.-C.
La victoire du christianisme eut pour consequence la transformation en eglises chretiennes de nombreux temples antiques d'Athenes.

Apres avoir visite l'Acropole, le Pathenon,l'Agora, tellement de choses interessantes a voir, nous sommes alles dans un tres bon restaurant d'Athenes.

Tout etait bien organise. Nous avons embarque sur le Ocean Majesty.

Nous etions a peu pres 450. J'admire leur organization, c'etait tres bien, pour moi c'etait parfais.

Lorsque nous sommes allees dans nos chambres nos valises etaent deja la, toutes les valises. Nous sommes alles au lounge ou les instructions de sauvetage nous ont ete expliquees.

Dr Stanley nous a recu

Le premier diner etait a 5:30. Je cherchais comme tout le monde ou ce trouvait le restaurant, malgre notre petit guide.

Le restaurant etait avec des tables de 4 de 6 et de 8. Notre table etait de 8 avec des nappes et des servittes blanches

Nous avons fait connaissance. Quelqu'un a prie avant le repas, et nous avons commence les conversations qui ce sont faitent facilement.

Apres le diner Dr Stanley nous a fait une etude sur la Bible. C'etait reconfortant d'entendre la Parole de DIEU.

Apres cela il y avait un show.
Cette nuit J'ai tellement bien dormis

Good morning
Visit to Corinth

The next morning, at 6 in the morning I was awake as well as my roommate,and at 7am we went for breakfast.
A beautiful buffet was waiting for us, Greek cheeses, pastry, olives as well as croissant, chocolate croissant, eggs and bacon, sausages and all kinds of breads, coffee, orange juice, all kinds of fruits.

After breakfast many tours buses were waiting for us.A notice with The Journey of Paul and a number was writing on each bus,it was easy to remember.

In our bus we had a great tour guide;she was Greek and spoke English perfectly. She remind me a Greek actress Melina Mercouri.

First we saw the canal of Corinth, very long and very skinny. I went through it long time ago on a ship with my mother. A little boat was pulling our big ship very slowly. Our ship was surrounded by many rubber rings, that what I remember.

Then we arrive in Corinth. So much history came out of these stones. Many battles, many earthquakes, also a very big civilisation with knowledge in many different ways.

It was Julius Caesar who rebuilt it in 46 BC, making it a colony of veterans with the name of Colonia Julia Corinthiensis. The new city developed rapidly and by the time of Paul visit in 50/51 AD had become the capital of the Roman provinces of Achaea.

Our tour guide told us, if we want to compare the ancient Corinth to a city of our time, it will be Las Vegas. (U.S)

"One night in a vision the LORD said to Paul,"Have no fear; go on with your preaching and do not be silenced. I AM with you, and no attack shall arm you, for I have many in this city who are my people. So he settled there for eighteen months, teaching the word of GOD among them." (Acts 18:2-11)

I though about My SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, and as sinners we don't hear HIM calling us with so much love. Our ways of having fun can destroy us and bring us to an eternal damnation.

The LORD JESUS call all of us with love to turn aways from our sins. HE will help us. I know HIS promesses are true and solid like a rock.

" For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, declare the LORD.
As the heavens are higher then the earth, so are my ways higher then your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. "
Isaiah 55:8-9

" Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2Corinthians 4:16-17-18

Come to the LORD JESUS even if you feel far from HIM, call HIM say "LORD JESUS come into my heart" and HE will come and show you the way and bring the people you need near you.

I pray for you.

Dear FATHER with all my heart I pray for all the people who are surching, reveal YOURSELF to them and show them the way like babies who need love and spiritual food.

After the tours guide Dr Stanley spoke a very encouraging sermon, who praise our LORD, strenght our faith and show the mission of Apostle Paul in Corinth.

We went for lunch in a lovely place in the country. The Greek food was exellent,knowing all theses dishes from my family, I enjoy having them again.Hum it was good.

Then we went back to the hotel to prepare ourself for the next day in Athens, and for the embarkation on the Ocean Majesty.

Thank you LORD JESUS for saving us from our sins, for the Apostle Paul who informed us deeply on the christian life, for Dr Stanley for his faith, his sermon and his dedication to YOU, thank you for all the people that I knew during this great trip, thank you FATHER with all my heart.

Visit a Corinthe

Le lendemain matin j'etais reveille a 6 heure du matin ainsi que la dame avec qui je partageais la chambre.A 7 heure nous sommes allees pour le petit dejeuner.

Un tres beau buffet nous attendais,des fromages, gateaux Greque, des olives et aussi des croissants, des pains aux chocolats,oeuf, becon, petites saussices, toutes sortes de pains , cafe , jus d'orange, et toutes sortes de fruits.

Apres le petit dejeune un grand nombre de bus nous attendait. Une affiche sur chaque bus avec le nom du group, The Journey of Paul (le voyage de Paul)etait ecrit sur chaque bus, c'etait facile a reconnaitre.

Nous avions dans notre bus une tres bonne guide. Elle etait Greque et parlait tres bien l'Anglais. Elle me faisait pense a l'actrice Melina Mercouri.

Au debut nous avons vu le canal de Corinthe tres long et tres etroit. Il y a tres longtemps avec maman nous l'avons traverse dans un grand bateau appele Achilleos. Un petit bateau nous tirait tres doucement et l'Achilleos etait entoure de bouees de sauvetage. C'est ce que je me souviens.

Nous sommes arrive dans Corinthe. Tellement d'histoire est sortie de ces pierres. Beaucoup de batailles de tremblements de terre,et aussi une tres grande civilisation avec beaucoup de connaissance dans different sujets.

Elle fut reconstruite en 46 av. J.C. Par Jules Cesar qui en fit une colonie romaine appelee Colonia Julia Corinthus Augusta.
La nouvelle ville se developpa tres rapidement et, lors de la visite de Paul en 50/51 apr. J.C., elle etait devenue la capitale de la provence romaine d'Achaie.

Notre guide nous a dit, si l'on veut compare l'ancienne Corinthe a une ville de notre temps; ce serai Las Vegas (U.S)

" Le SEIGNEUR dit a Paul pendant la nuit, dans une vision: " Je suis avec toi et personne ne mettra la main sur toi pour te faire du mal; car J'ai un grand peuple dans cette ville".
Paul demeura la un an et six mois, enseignant parmi eux la parole de DIEU". Actes 18:2-11

Je Pensais a notre SEIGNEUR JESUS CHRIST, etant pecheurs nous l'entendons pas nous appeler avec tant d'amour. Notre facon de nous distraire peu nous amenez a notre destruction ainsi qu'a la damnation eternelle

Le SEIGNEUR nous appel tous avec amour pour nous detourner de nos peches. IL nous aide. Je sais ces promesses sont vrai et solides comme un rocher.

" Car mes pensees ne sont pas vos pensees, et vos voies ne sont pas mes voies, Oracle de L'ETERNEL.
Autant les Cieux sont eleves au-dessus de la terre, autant MES voies sont elevees au dessus de vos voies et MES pensees au-dessus de vos pensees".
Esaie 55:8-9

" C'est pourquoi nous ne perdons pas courage. Et meme lorsque notre homme exterieur ce detruit, notre homme interieur se renouvelle de jour en jour.
Car un moment de legere afflication produit pour nous au-dela de toute mesure un poids eternel de gloire.
Aussi nous regardons, non point aux choses visibles, mais a celles qui sont invisibles; car les choses visibles sont momentanees, et les invisibles sont eternelles".
2 Corinthiens 4:16-17-18

Venez vers le SEIGNEUR meme si vous le sentez loin. Dites SEIGNEUR JESUS viens dans mon coeur, et IL viendra et IL vous montrera le chemin et apportera les gens que vous avez besoin aupres de vous.

SEIGNEUR , je prie de tout mon coeur pour touts les gens qui cherche. Revel TOI a eux, et montre leurs comme aux bebes ton amour et ta nourriture spirituelle.

Apres le guide, Dr Stanley nous a dit un sermon tres encouragent, qui benissait le SEIGNEUR, renforcait notre foi, et nous a montre la mission de l'Apostole Paul dans Corinthe

Nous sommes alles dejeuner dans un tres beau restaurant dans la campagne. La cuisine Greque etait tres bien, connaissant la cuisine Greque de ma famille, j'ai beaucoup aimer gouter de nouveau, hum c'etait bon.

Apres nous sommes retoune a l'hotel pour nous preparer. Le lendemain ce sera Athenes et l' embarquement sur le bateau Ocean Majesty.

Merci SEIGNEUR JESUS de nous avoir sauve de nos peches, merci pour l'Apostole Paul de nous avoir informe profondement sur la vie chretienne, merci a Dr Stanley pour sa foi ses sermons et son devouement envers TOI, merci pour tous les gens que j'ai rencontre dans ce voyage
